Dark Souls Bonfire Papercraft by Orion1189 Dark Souls Bonfire Papercraft by Orion1189
Papercraft model of a kindled bonfire from the PS3/360 game Dark Souls, made by From Software. Made using Google Sketchup, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

I'm not the best at writing the instructions for these, but I tried to put a few notes in the pdf. It's not too complicated, but if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask.

I was just going to go model one and use peparkura for a masquerade costume and now I don't have to. This looks way better than mine would have and yay for time saving!

Thank you!

Praise the sun!

You got it. It's just a singly tab to give the ends of the bones a little bit of dimension.

Quick question.... With the bones, the 4 bones with the V-cut at the tips... What exactly do you do with those? Are those combined with another V-cut piece? Are they just placed down with no mirrored side under it?

Have you had any sort of success getting the models from the game at all? I've got the PC version of it, and I'm trying to find an Artorias to build, with no such luck. I figured I might have to dig up the data myself, but since you've already got something like this, I thought *maybe* you'd have an idea if something like that was already out there.

P.S. Paper's the first wedding anniversary suggestion, and so since I thought a papercraft Artorias would be a suitable first anniversary gift to the hubby.

For this model, I just made it from scratch in SketchUp. I don't think anyone has made any papercraft from ripped models yet, but I have seen a handful of 3D models online that appear to have been ripped from the game. The closest to actual papercraft I've seen was a really nice Artorias cosplay, which was based on some 3D models. However, I think that may also have been created from references as well.

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing. I found models, but they're stupid complex, and I don't think I'll end up with enough time to finish even breaking the model down before the anniversary. My bonfire backup should do just fine though. Thanks for it!

Love DkS and this is one of the most awesome artworks, especially since we're technically interacting with your work...Thanks a lot...btw i kinda made this a charging spot for my phone, so it appears it's resting at the bonfire hahahaha if only i could level up my phone hahaha

Sorry if this reposted. I'm having technical difficulties.

I was having a bit of trouble assembling the hilt. Could you help me out? I'd like to have it completed by my boyfriend's birthday on Thursday.

Thanks bunches! It looks amazing.

P.S. Dark Souls is awesome.
